One of the best steak dinners ever. We split the filet and ordered duck fat potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts. Did not need a knife to cut filet, so tender, aged well and seasoned simply with salt, pepper and a butter glaze. Nice mini loaf of warm sour dough bread and fantastic wine selection. Josh our server was great sharing the story of the place. Only been open 1 month. Try it.

Superb service!! The waiters were amazing but we were also with regulars who got us seated immediately when they told us there was a 2 hour wait... The wedge salad had the most unbelievable blue cheese dressing on the planet. I could have used a straw and drank it. The filet was cooked perfectly ( I ordered medium rare), was amazing in flavor and tenderness. I'm giving 4 stars because my friend he the wagyu strip steak and it was not impressive at all & the bread pudding didn't make my tongue slap my brains out. I would for sure come back again though, no questions asked!

My husband and dined here last evening for our 3rd wedding anniversary. I made reservations on OpenTable. This was our first experience at any Vic & Anthony's. We kept saying this is where we were going to go for our Anniversary dinner. Overall, the service was impeccable! We tried both the Crab Cake and the Quail for appetizers. The crab cake was top notch and stuffed with tons of premium crab. It was a toss up for me between the quail or the Lobster Bisque. The quail was very delicious, a bit on the small side.... Which it is a small bird anyway lol... However, I had wished I had tried the Lobster Bisque instead. I will definitely keep that in mind if we ever return for another special occasion. For our entrees, we chose the regular New York Strip and the Skirt Steak. The skirt steak had a really great flavor. The Strip on the other hand did lack a little, but the bacon butter I had added did compliment the steak very well. Our sides were the duck fat potatoes and the creamed spinach. The spinach was DIVINE! It's worth going back for it alone! It was melt in your mouth goodness! DEF recommend it! It had a crusty, almost bread crumb- like topping followed by a taste of definitely not low-fat creaminess. :) it was the best thing out of everything we ate!!! Because it was our anniversary, the dessert was on the house. We chose the Croissant Bread Pudding! Amazing as well!! In the end, we were so stuffed! Our waiter was absolutely on his game! He did an excellent job keeping the drinks refilled and checked on our table frequently! He deserved every bit of his tip! Overall wonderful experience!

Vic & Anthony's is my favorite restaurant in Houston. I have been perhaps a dozen times and have never experienced anything less that superlative food and service. I usually order a bone-in filet; it is always prepared perfectly. I love to start with their carpaccio, which they give a tartare treatment with an egg. Their oysters are always fresh. All their sides are great, but my favorites are the Brussels sprouts, the Mac n cheese and the sea salt fries. I am not a big lobster fan, but the lobster I had there just blew me away..best I have ever had. The crab cakes here are to die for. The best I've ever had. There's huge lumps of crab meat on top and the sauce is perfect. The steak was cooked to perfection. Juicy, medium rare steak. The wine selection is expansive, and it includes a sizeable "by the glass" selection. The service is exactly what I would expect from a top notch steak house. The servers are knowledgable and on-the-spot at all times. Your glass is never empty. Recommendations are never a disappointment. They have a good bar, but it can be a challenge, as it is usually packed elbow to belly button. Vic & Anthony's is an excellent place to spoil a client or celebrate an occasion. It is pricey, but worth every penny.

When this place is on their game, you would be hard pressed to find a better steakhouse meal. Great cuts, perfectly prepared, sides are amazing, and croissant bread pudding dessert is a must have. This is my kinda place.

The food and the ambiance was outstanding. ( The steaks had a great flavor) Great wine list and desert menu. The service was not great but she did an OK job. It was her first time waiting on tables and has a lot to learn. But she tried.

Perhaps this place has lately improved (given past bad reviews), because I though the meal was outstanding. We had : -the roasted quail appetizer, which had a tasty sauce and well dressed salad -The wedge salad with their housemade ranch dressing, which was possibly the best ranch I've ever had -I had the 8oz filet, which was more than enough and a good piece of very basically seasoned meat. -My boyfriend had the Waygu steak (literally falls apart in your mouth, so tender) with duck fat potatoes that tasted very rich and almost bacony. -the bread pudding was great, but I was so full at this point that I didn't eat much of it. Our waiter was great, and overall the service was very attentive. Only downside is that people don't really dress up like they should for a restaurant like this, but that's just lake Charles for you. Also the bathroom is outside of the restaurant in the casino, so it's better to go beforehand!

Took my fiancé there for a steak night dinner. They have the best crab cake appetizer. My fiancé ordered the bone in ribeye med rare Pittsburg style and it was horrible. The steak was burnt. I ate Pittsburg style at other steakhouse and this wasn't even close to what it should be. I had to scrape the top layer b/c it was so burnt that the meat didn't have any flavor. Both waitor and manager told me that it's how they do their Pittsburg steak and they will let the chef know not to make it to burnt the next time. We had to eat what was serve and I definitely didn't want to throw it away cause I paid for it. Please let me know if you guys feel the same way if y'all order the steak Pittsburg style next time y'all come back.

Fantastic Service (rare in LC), Wine selection is basically heaven. Steaks are delicious, premium and perfection in cooking, the side dishes are large and easily shared. We have been 4 times since December and have had a wonderful experience each time. Irish Ale cocktail is surprisingly delightful. I do not give this great of a rating easily- especially here in Lake Charles. Bon Apetite!

My second time eating at this place. Excellent service, great ambient, and marvelous food. I had the Wagyu skirt steak and it was good, but compared to the ribeye, the ribeye beats the Wagyu in a heart beat.

I hate leaving bad reviews, especially for a place open such a short time, but here we go. Simply, it was the worst steak dinner I have ever paid for. The service was marginal and the food was worse. Our salads were bland and my Tomato and Onion Salad consisted of 4 slices of tomatoes (which were fine) along with, maybe, 4 slivers of red onion and a very few blue cheese crumbles. The Caesar Salads were ever dressed with average dressing and the Wedge had un-fresh lettuce and terrible dressing. Then it got worse: Two of us ordered the Ribeye and they were awful. I ordered mine Black and Blue with the Béarnaise and received a steak that was ~1/2 inch thick (nothing like the 1 inch thick steaks on the case upon entry) with no char and cooked somewhere near medium in the middle. The sauce was pored over the top of the steak as opposed to on the side as to almost hide the poor cooking technique. I specifically asked the waitress if they could cook a steak black and blue (or Pittsburgh) and she assured me they could. Both of our Ribeyes were heavy as if they were wet when cooked. My wife's filet was nice and thick slathered in butter so it sounded good right? Nope, she ordered it rare and it was medium to medium well. No one ever offered to pour our wine and they didn't acknowledge my Mother's birthday though that was discussed when they called to confirm the reservation earlier in the day. I have some inside intel and I know their was a crew from Houston (and maybe other places) training the kitchen and staff, but they all failed. Shame.

I split the bone-in ribeye with my fifi. 6 of us at the table shared a lot of apps and sides. The calimari and steak tar tar served on a thick salt plate stood out. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare+ but medium rare is the best he could do. The ribeye was still super good though. Also had a wedge salad which was on point. Not the best place I've ever been to in my life, but still really, really good.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! Justin our server was superb! Hubby ordered the Filet Mignon and it was perfection. It was melt in my mouth good. The mashed potatoes were so silky and yummy. I ordered the Salmon with King crab tapenade and it was also delicious. We finished off with the Croissant bread pudding paired off with a glass of Dolce=heaven! Everything was perfect, staff was super nice but the only thing I found quite odd was the hostesses kept on checking on the tables and writing something on their notepads as if to see which tables would be open? Other than that we had a great time! We will definitely be back!

Came here for my first wedding anniversary recently and I was pretty excited when my husband told me he had made reservations. As soon as we got to the restaurant, we told them we had made reservations but apparently they didn't have any tables open, so we had to wait half an hour for a table. I was sort of confused because even with reservations we still had to wait a pretty long period of time to be seated. After being seated we ordered our food and it didn't take very long to arrive, so that's a plus. The food itself wasn't very impressive at all. Extremely overpriced if you ask me. I could have gotten that same quality for half the price. I ordered the shrimp scampi while my husband ordered the filet mignon and a side of shrimp. For dessert they informed us that it would be on the house because it was our anniversary and we ordered the cheese cake. I have to say, that was the BEST cheesecake I've ever had!! It was absolutely amazing. I'll probably only come back to this restaurant for dessert next time

Drinks were good. Eye candy bartenders made the 45 minutes between ordering and receiving food somewhat tolerable. Steak was 3 levels overcooked and very cold. They offered to make it better. Sorry. A $50 per steak restaurant has to get it right every time.

I have eaten at the one in Houston and found it to be exactly like it. Its just not my favorite steakhouse. I did have a great waiter so that made my experience great. I had the crab cake for appetizer, the pear and blue cheese salad and the 8 oz filet mignon. The crab cake was good, it just had too much crab if you can believe it! It had not much cake part so not much flavor beyond crab which you would think wouldn't be bad but is. The salad was the best part of meal. I could eat that salad every day. The dressing is awesome and the pecans and cheese combination was so flavorful. It was chintzy on the tomatoes and I found one tiny sliver of red onion that made me question did it accidently find its way in there or are they just hoarding their onions!? Filet was just ok. Waiter asked if I wanted béarnaise sauce on top of steak or on side and I said on top, Well I didn't expect to have entire steak covered in sauce I expected enough to enjoy but not so much to over take steak which is what it did. Sauce was good but would have liked to get steak flavor too. I asked for medium which it was but not very juicy. I was too full for dessert so maybe another time. Service was great. They cleaned up every course quickly and kept my tea glass full.

I've been waiting since 750 pm for my meal with my family it is now 915. Still no sign. Half the menu wasn't available. My family ordered drinks that never came and each person had to go to the bar themselves to order. I thought this casino was supposed to be next level. do not expect vegas service. They left our appetizer in the center of our table once it was finished for about an hour. What food they had available was good. God bless our waiter. It wasn't his fault. The other runners weren't pulling their weight.

I love Vic and Anthony's in Houston. The Lake Charles location, however, is not the same. The service was awful! Bar staff was in way over their heads. The bad service makes the high prices a rip off.

Impeccable service. great food and atmosphere. One of the better fine dining options in Lake Charles. I highly recommend, other than the filet, trying the duck fat potatoes and the shrimp and crab martini. Yum!

I love this place. We had the best food and service. I can't wait to go back . We waited less than five minutes to be seated. The lobster bisque is excellent, as well as the crab cake. The bread pudding was wonderful. I have never had better food and service.
